Govt Extends Deadline for EOIs for PIA Privatization

The federal government has announced an extension for the submission of Expressions of Interest (EoIs) for the acquisition of Pakistan International Airlines Corporation Limited (PIACL). The new deadline is now set for June 19, 2025, replacing the previous cut-off date of June 3. All existing terms and conditions of the process will remain unchanged. “The deadline for submission of Expressions of Interest and Statements of Qualification for ‘Divestment of Pakistan International Airlines Corporation Limited through privatisation’ has been extended till 16:00 hours on Thursday, 19th June, 2025. The remaining terms and conditions shall remain the same,” read the advertisement. PIACL, a public limited company and the national flag carrier of Pakistan, is majority-owned by the Government of Pakistan through the PIA Holding Company Limited, which holds about 96percent of its issued capital.
