The price of MS petrol is expected to remain unchanged this week due to low demand worldwide and stable import premiums.
High-Speed Diesel (HSD) could see a Rs. 3.62 per liter hike for the next fortnight.
The forecast is based on mixed trends in the international oil market which saw the premium on MS stand at $8.69 per barrel. Notably, the Pakistani rupee remained stable at the 278 level during the period in review.
Considering the above, it is expected that the price of HSD is poised to increase to Rs. 259 per liter in Pakistan. Meanwhile, MS rates are expected to stay at Rs. 252.1 per liter.
In the previous fortnight, the government kept the petrol price unchanged at Rs. 252.1. Meanwhile, the diesel price was decreased by Rs. 3.05 per liter to Rs. 255.38.
