The Ministry of Commerce has halted the foreign postings of nine trade officers following reports from intelligence agencies, reliable sources informed ProPakistani.
The postings were intended for key international stations, including Athens, London, Geneva, Brussels, Bangkok, and Frankfurt, but have now been put on hold.
According to sources, the officers belong to the Pakistan Customs Service, Inland Revenue Service, and Commerce & Trade Group.
Those affected include Fahad Chaudhry, Fawad Ali Shah, Ali Waheed, Asim Rehman, Dr. Irfan, Suleman Khan, and Aisam Khokhar, among others.
The Ministry of Commerce has directed officers currently serving in foreign missions to continue their duties until new appointments are finalized.
The Ministry had shortlisted candidates through a selection process conducted in collaboration with LUMS University.
