The government has decided to increase the size of the federal cabinet by adding four new ministers.
Hanif Abbasi and Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Khalid Magsi from the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP), and Mustafa Kamal from the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) are expected to join the government, reported a news daily.
Abbasi is being tipped to take charge of the Ministry of Railways, while Dr. Tariq Chaudhry is likely to be appointed as the Minister for National Health Services. Magsi is expected to take charge of the Ministry of Communications.
Kamal may become the Minister of Science and Technology.
Currently, the Ministry of Science and Technology is overseen by Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, who also heads the Ministry of Federal Education. However, Siddiqui is expected to retain his role in the education ministry.
