The “new” currency note has been viewed over 10 million times in Pakistan in the past 24 hours as people are actively sharing it on TikTok and other platforms. However, SBP has said that the currency note shown in the viral video circulating on social media is completely fake. According to the State Bank, if a new currency note were to be issued, it would be officially announced, information would be provided on the official website and social media channels, and the public would be informed through the media. Therefore, the public should avoid being misled by such content.
