Officials of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) across the country will stage a protest tomorrow against the board’s policies, Revenue Division sources told ProPakistani.
The planned demonstration is due to the recently announced benefits allegedly granted to FBR officers of Grade 17 and above. Sources said the protest will specifically target policies such as the provision of rental apartments and the announcement of a Common Pool Fund (CPF) for officers in these higher grades.
According to the sources, FBR officials in Grade 17 and below have not been granted any such benefits, leading to discontent and the decision to protest.
The sources further stated that FBR officials in Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) nationwide will observe a pen-down strike and hold protests as part of this action.
