Kohinoor Mills Limited has commenced commercial production at its Apparel Division, the company disclosed to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Tuesday
In its notice to the PSX, the company said the start of apparel manufacturing is part of its strategy to expand and strengthen its presence in the apparel industry through forward integration.
According to the company, the new facility has a factory production area of around 16,000 square metres and an annual production capacity exceeding 5 million garments. The company aims to achieve a production target of 5,000 garments per day per shift by June 30, 2026.
Kohinoor Mills said the apparel unit currently employs more than 480 workers.
The manufacturing facility has been equipped with modern stitching, washing and finishing lines to meet the requirements of international fashion retail businesses. The unit will produce high-quality casual wear and performance garments.
The company said the availability of in-house fabrics from its existing weaving and dyeing divisions will help ensure consistent quality, product standardisation and sustainability.
Management said the move into apparel manufacturing is expected to deepen the company’s value added product mix, enhance customer share and contribute positively to revenue growth and overall profitability.
Kohinoor Mills informed the stock exchange that the development has been shared in compliance with the relevant provisions of the Securities Act, 2015 and the PSX Rule Book
