Local Cement Sales Increase by 14% in January 2025

Local cement despatches by the industry during January 2025 were 3.895 million tons compared to 3.414 million tons in January 2024, showing an increase of 14 percent year-on-year (YoY). According to the data released by All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA), export despatches however increased by 30 percent as the volumes increased from 447,000 tons in January 2024 to 582,000 tons in January 2025. During 7MFY25, total dispatches declined 1.7 percent YoY to 26.827 million tons. Domestic dispatches for 7MFY25 fell 7.6 percent YoY, whereas exports grew 31.5 percent YoY to 5.392 million tons during the period in review. In the North region, domestic dispatches rose 11.9 percent YoY, and exports increased 21.4 percent YoY in January 2025. In the South region, local dispatches grew 10.6 percent YoY, and exports jumped 31.3 percent YoY in January 2025.
