Mari Energies Limited (PSX: MARI) has made its third gas and condensate discovery at the Spinwam-1 well in the Waziristan Block, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The latest find comes from the Hangu Formation, following an earlier discovery in the Kawagarh Formation.
According to the company’s stock filing at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the well has flowed 23.85 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of gas and approximately 122 barrels per day (bbl/day) of condensate. The production was recorded at a 32/64″ choke with a Well Head Flowing Pressure (WHFP) of 4,042 pounds per square inch gauge (psig).
Mari Energies operates the Waziristan Block with a 55 percent working interest, while Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) holds 35 percent, and Orient Petroleum Inc. has a 10 percent stake.
The company stated that further testing of additional targeted formations is ongoing to assess the well’s full potential.
