Mari Energies Limited (PSX: MARI) has confirmed a fourth significant hydrocarbon discovery at the Spinwam-1 exploratory well, located in the Lockhart Formation of the Waziristan Block, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The find follows earlier successful discoveries in three separate formations—Samanasuk, Kawagarh, and Hangu—in the same well.
According to the company, the Lockhart Formation tests have demonstrated promising flow results.
At a choke size of 64/64″, gas flow was measured at 70.3 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD), with a condensate output of 310 barrels per day and a wellhead flowing pressure (WHFP) of 3,264 psig. At a reduced choke size of 32/64″, the gas flow was 29.3 MMSCFD, condensate production was 166 barrels per day, and WHFP increased to 4,993 psig.
Mari Energies holds a 55 percent working interest in the Waziristan Block and operates the well in partnership with Oil and Gas Development Company Limited and Orient Petroleum Inc., which hold 35 percent and 10 percent working interests, respectively.
