Oil & Gas Development Limited (PSX: OGDC) has started producing 1,100 barrels of oil per day from its new development well, Pasakhi-14, located in District Hyderabad.
The well is part of the Pasakhi & Pasakhi North D&PL, where the company holds a 100 percent working interest.
Pasakhi-14 was drilled to 2,183 meters, targeting the upper sands of the Lower Goru formation. OGDCL used advanced drilling technologies, including a Rotary Steerable System, Electromagnetic MWD, and a nitrified mud system to ensure precise drilling and protect formation integrity.
The well is also equipped with an Electric Submersible Pump.
OGDCL said the new output reflects its focus on exploration, efficient drilling, and production optimization, aligned with its goal of strengthening the country’s energy security.
