OGRA Hikes RLNG Prices for SNGPL and SSGCL Consumers
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has raised the prices of Regasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) for consumers of both Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL), effective October 1, 2025. The price hike comes in response to a marginal increase in global LNG import costs, with OGRA adjusting rates to reflect the uptick in the Delivered Ex-Ship (DES) price, the key import cost component for LNG cargoes arriving in Pakistan. The revised RLNG rates represent an increase of around 1.8% to 2% compared to September. For October, SNGPL’s RLNG transmission price has been set at $11.4381 per mmBtu, while the distribution price is now $12.2300 per mmBtu. In September, these rates stood at $11.2365 and $12.0127 per mmBtu, marking an increase of $0.2016 and $0.2173, or approximately 1.79% and 1.81%, respectively. SSGCL consumers will also see higher rates, with the new RLNG transmission price fixed at $10.0585 per mmBtu and the distribution price at $11.2304 per mmBtu. This reflects an increase of $0.1965 and $0.2198, or 1.99% and 2.00%, respectively, over the previous month.
