The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), in accordance with the Policy Guidelines of the Federal Government, has determined the Re- gasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) prices effective April 01, 2025, which saw an up to 5.4 percent increase for gas distribution and transmission companies.
According to the OGRA, the RLNG prices for Sui Northern Pipeline Limited surged to $12.5 per mmbtu in April as compared to $12 per mmbtu recorded in March for transmission, showing 4.8 percent in values. It also surged to $13.4 per mmbtu from $12.9 mmbtu in proceeding month, depicting 4 percent growth in prices.
The RLNG prices for Sui Southern Gas Limited surged to $11.2 per mmbtu in April from 10.6 per mmbtu recorded in March for transmission, showing 5.4 percent growth in prices. RLNG prices also go up to 12.5 per mmbtu as compared to $12.7 per mmbtu in March 2025, depicting over 1 drop in prices.
The increase in RLNG prices is due to increase in DES price. However, the distribution RLNG price of (SSGCL) has been decreased due to the reduction in SSGCL’s (UFG) percentage for distribution, the notification issued by the OGRA stated.
