OGRA Reduces LPG Prices for January 2025
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has cut the price of indigenous liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by Rs. 4 per kg, decreasing the price of 11.8 kg domestic cylinders by Rs. 47.43 for January 2025.   In a notification issued on Tuesday, the regulator set the consumer price of LPG at Rs. 250.3 per kg for January. The 11.8 kg domestic cylinder price for consumers has been set at Rs. 2,953.36 for January compared to Rs. 3,000.79 for December 2024.  The regulator highlighted that the LPG producer price is linked with Saudi Aramco-CP and US dollar exchange rate. As compared to previous month Saudi Aramco-CP has decreased by 2 percent while the average dollar exchange rate increased by 0.12 percent resulting in decrease in LPG consumer price.   It is pertinent to mention here that the price of 11.8 kg domestic cylinders remained almost unchanged for December 2024, going up by 0.04 percent.
