Pakistan has been chosen to host the Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO) Digital Summit 2026, a major regional technology gathering that brings together digital leaders from across Asia and Oceania.
The decision was formally announced at the ongoing ASOCIO Digital Summit 2025 in Chinese Taipei.
The Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) said the selection reflects growing confidence in the country’s IT and IT-enabled services sector and its ability to convene international tech stakeholders.
“This is a tremendous honour and a validation of our global credibility,” said P@SHA Chairman Sajjad Mustafa Syed, noting that Pakistan is ready to showcase its capabilities to member economies next year.
Alongside the hosting announcement, Pakistani firms secured seven ASOCIO ICT Awards 2025. A delegation of fifteen companies represented Pakistan in multiple award categories and high-level discussions on digital policy, innovation, and cross-border partnerships.
P@SHA also held meetings with delegations from Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and other member associations to explore cooperation in talent mobility, joint ventures and BPO opportunities.
Pakistan’s digital credentials were highlighted throughout the summit, including IT and ITeS exports of USD 3.8 billion in FY25, over three thousand registered IT firms, more than 600,000 tech professionals and a rapidly expanding youth-driven workforce.
