Pakistan to Supply JF-17 Fighter Jets to Azerbaijan Soon

Azerbaijan is set to acquire its first batch of JF-17 Thunder fighter jets from Pakistan, with discussions underway for joint production in the future. Information Minister Atta Tarar announced this during an interview with a private news channel. He highlighted Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s strong interest in expanding defense cooperation with Pakistan. Alongside military ties, Azerbaijan has pledged a $2 billion investment in Pakistan to enhance economic collaboration between the two nations. According to Tarar, talks regarding Azerbaijan’s investment are in the final stages, with agreements expected to be signed during President Aliyev’s visit to Islamabad in April. He further stated that a $2 billion investment agreement may be finalized within a month.
