PM Forms Committee to Investigate Losses to PIA Due to Fake Licenses Saga
The federal government has constituted a 7-member inquiry committee to investigate losses caused by former Federal Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan’s statement on fake licenses of PIA pilots.  According to notification, the Prime Minister has formed a seven-member committee under the convenor of Minister for Defence and Aviation Khawaja Asif to investigate losses caused by former Federal Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan’s statement on fake licenses of PIA pilots.  The other members of the committee include the Federal Minister for Finance, Federal Minister for Law and Justice, Secretary to the Ministry of Defense, Secretary to the Law and Justice, CEO PIA, DG Civil Aviation Authority, while the Defense Division will provide secretariat support to the committee.  The Cabinet Committee will inquire into the statement made by former Federal Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar regarding PIA pilots and will review the losses caused by the former minister’s statement in the National Assembly regarding fake licenses of PIA pilots.  The committee will estimate the financial losses caused to the national exchequer due to the former minister’s irresponsible statement.  The notification also states the committee’s TORs, according to which the committee will submit its report to the cabinet within 4 weeks.
