PM Orders Complete Digitization of Economy

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed the immediate formation of a dynamic working group to oversee the complete digitization of the economy, which would help eliminate the informal sector. Chairing a high-level meeting in Islamabad on the subject, the premier emphasized that transforming the economic framework through digital means is essential for national development. He said that eliminating the parallel informal economy is a key priority for the government. The Prime Minister also lauded the successful use of a digital wallet system for distributing the Ramazan relief package and instructed that its application be expanded to other government initiatives.
