The Prime Minister has summoned reports from federal ministries or divisions about new job opportunities created last year under ongoing reforms.
Sources told ProPakistani that the PM has directed all ministries or divisions to furnish reports by February 1, 2025, on the reforms and improvements undertaken over the last 12 months, including policy changes, structural adjustment, governance enhancement, and any measurable impact.
The ministries or divisions are directed to share details about new job opportunities being created, reforms undertaken in the last 12 months including short, medium, and long and the impact of ease of doing business.
It is pertinent to note that under the rightsizing plan, the incumbent government recently announced abolishing 150,000 vacant seats during the current fiscal year.
The government had also appointed over a dozen officials on salaries up to Rs. 1.5 million per month in different ministries during the last six months, and it is ending a series of lower staff working in federal government departments.
