The repatriation of profits and dividends from foreign investments in Pakistan decreased by 71 percent to $264 million in May 2025.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), foreign investors repatriated $2.094 billion from July to May (11 Months) of FY25, a 16 percent increase from $1.8006 billion during the same period in FY24.
During May 2025, the repatriation of profits and dividends in Pakistan rose by 117.3 percent MoM compared to $121.5 million in April 2025.
The Power sector experienced the largest outflow of profits and dividends in 11MFY25, reaching $396.2 million, a 67 percent increase from the previous year, according to SBP data.
The Financial Business sector followed with $364.6 million in repatriations, and the Food sector came in third with $293.1 million in outflows during the period in review.
