Providing Essential Commodities at Affordable Prices is Govt’s Top Priority: PM

Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired a review meeting on commodity prices and declared that the provision of essential commodities at affordable prices to people is the top priority of the government. He directed the Tehsil and District Administration and the Competition Commission of Pakistan to facilitate the masses by ensuring fair prices of food items via action against profiteers and mafias. He further stressed the need to make the existing cell more active in monitoring prices on a regular basis and ensuring reasonable prices. The Minister for Finance, Shaukat Tareen, and the Chief Secretaries of Balochistan and the Punjab attended it via video link.
