The KSE-100 index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) gained over 4,600 points on Tuesday, a positive change of roughly 4 percent in response to the announcement of a ceasefire between Iran and Israel.
At 9:35 AM the benchmark index stood at 120,770, up 3.96 percent or 4,603 points.
At 9:55 AM it stood at 120,637, up 4,470 points or 3.85 percent.
A total of 151,813,258 shares were traded during the session so far, whereas the price of shares stood at Rs. 7 billion.
As many as 393 companies transacted their shares in the stock market, 366 of them recorded gains and 17 sustained losses, whereas the share price of 10 companies remained unchanged.
