The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has announced that its mobile device registration service will be temporarily unavailable this weekend due to scheduled system maintenance by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
The outage will affect the Device Identification Registration & Blocking System (DIRBS) from 10:00 PM on Saturday, 6th December, until Sunday evening, 7th December 2025.
PTA has advised anyone who needs to register a mobile device urgently to complete the process before the maintenance period begins. The authority expressed appreciation for the public’s patience and cooperation, assuring that services will resume as soon as the system maintenance is completed.
