Rupee Opens Week With Slight Gains Against US Dollar

The Pakistani Rupee (PKR) on Monday appreciated by 05 paisa against the US Dollar (USD) in the interbank trading and closed at Rs. 280.16 against the previous day’s closing of Rs. 280.21. The price of the Euro decreased by Rs. 0.14 to close at Rs. 304.76 against the last day’s closing of Rs. 303.62, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). The Japanese yen remained unchanged and closed at Rs. 1.88, whereas a decrease of 23 paisa was witnessed in the exchange rate of the British Pound, which was traded at Rs. 362.46 as compared to the last day’s closing of Rs. 362.23. The exchange rate of the Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal went decreased by 01 paisa each and closed at Rs. 76.28 and Rs. 74.70 respectively.
