Rupee Up 40th Day in a Row Against US Dollar Despite Small Gains

The Pakistani rupee (PKR) closed in green against the US Dollar (USD) 40th day in a row on Thursday. Meanwhile, it posted gains against most of the other major currencies during today’s session. The PKR barely appreciated by 0.003 percent DoD and closed at 280.65 after gaining one paisa against the US Dollar today. On a fiscal year-to-date basis (FYTD), the PKR has gained 1.14 percent against the US Dollar. The PKR was green against most of the other major currencies in the interbank market today. It was stable against the UAE Dirham (AED) and the Saudi Riyal (SAR). Meanwhile, it gained 92 paisas against the Canadian Dollar (CAD). The rupee lost 11 paisas against the Australian Dollar (AUD) in today’s interbank currency market. It gained Rs. 1.83 against the Euro (EUR) and Rs. 2.06 against the British Pound (GBP).
