The Pakistani rupee’s impressive 33-day streak of appreciation against the US dollar came to a halt on Wednesday, as the local currency registered a slight decline in the inter-bank market. At the close of trading, the rupee settled at 281.43 against the US dollar, marking a marginal drop of Rs. 0.01. This followed a gain of Rs. 0.03 on Tuesday, when the rupee had closed at Rs. 281.42, extending its record-breaking streak for the 33rd consecutive session.
