SBP Announces Remuneration Rate for Special Cash Reserve Accounts for September
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced the remuneration rate for Special Cash Reserve Accounts (US$) maintained under FE-Circular 25 of 1998. For September 2025, the rate has been set at 3.27%. This update was communicated in reference to Para 03 of BSD Circular No. 18 dated March 31, 2001, and DMMD Circular Letter No. 03 dated August 09, 2023. Special Cash Reserve Accounts are maintained by banks with the SBP against foreign currency deposits, and the remuneration rate is revised periodically.
