Shell Pakistan to Continue Operations Through Brand Licensing with Wafi Energy

Shell Pakistan Limited has officially changed its name to ‘Wafi Energy Pakistan Limited’, effective January 13, 2025. The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has approved the Company’s name change request and has issued an updated Certificate of Incorporation reflecting the new name. The Shell brand will remain in Pakistan through retail and brand licensing agreements, with Wafi Energy as the exclusive brand licensee. Wafi Energy, an established Saudi company and affiliate of the Asyad Group, now holds approximately 87.78% of the total issued share capital of the organization. In Pakistan, Shell products and services are provided by Wafi Energy, a licensee of the Shell brand. Wafi Energy is an established energy company and an affiliate of the Asyad Group in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, today committed to growing its investments in Pakistan’s petroleum industry.
