Sitara Peroxide Limited has announced the temporary closure of its operations to undertake balancing, modernization, and replacement (BMR) activities, according to a material information notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).
The company’s management stated that while operations are paused for these planned upgrades, urgent measures are being implemented to control erosion and prevent leakages of highly inflammable and valuable chemicals following a sudden change in weather.
All available resources are being directed toward preventive actions, and stakeholders are being kept informed, stated the notice.
Sitara Peroxide emphasized that safety, emergency, and environmental response protocols have been fully activated to protect plant and machinery, employees, and the environment.
The management assured that further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
