Ashfaq Textile Mills Ltd. has announced the suspension of operations for 85 out of its 243 Sulzer looms at its Faisalabad production facility, citing unfavorable market conditions and a sharp decline in demand for woven fabrics.
The decision was approved by the company’s Board of Directors at a meeting held on December 11, 2025, according to a notice sent to the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
The company stated that this reduction in production capacity is intended to curb forced sales of fabric in a sluggish market environment. Ashfaq Textile Mills also noted that it is currently evaluating various strategic alternatives to navigate the ongoing challenges in the textile sector.
The business of the Company is the manufacturing and sale of textiles and the rendering of sizing and conversion services.
